SEARCH PROGRAMS

The Public Health Program at KMU provides multidiscipline courses and practice opportunities. The goals of this program are to foster students with multi-dimensional public health knowledge and to prepare students with abilities and passion to face, solve and mitigate public health challenges. KMU has four affiliated hospitals and is located in the largest industrial city in Taiwan. These characteristics provide a great opportunity to practice Public Health in the real world.

Through this program, students will have research skills and practical experiences in the field of public health. This program can also expand and exchange health and research experiences between KMU and the countries in South Asia. Thus, it can enhance global cooperation opportunities in education and health, and make us helpful and visible internationally. Additionally, our faculty are fully engaged in teaching, research and public affairs in hospital management, epidemiological studies, environmental health, and occupational disease prevention. They can provide helpful and pertinent assistance to students.

The length of this program can be 4 – 6 months. Students can take courses and/or attend research groups during this period. Students, who have a related background in public health and can stay for 6 months, can receive priority admission. Each student is encouraged to register for the course of [Special Topics in Advanced Occupational Health and Safety Practice]. It is a course providing site visits to inspect occupational health and safety practice in workplaces. This enables students to practice their knowledge in the real world and exchange their opinions with industrial hygienists. [The eligible student can have a stipend up to NT$15,000 / month]
