The Science Education Center (SEC) at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) is launching an internship opportunity, welcoming international research talents from ASEAN countries to join in a globally expanding research vision. The SEC, NTNU has devoted its research effort to, at least, three fields of research in science education: curriculum/material development, alternative assessment on science, and survey research on students’ science achievement as well as the profile of science teachers. In today's Taiwan, in elementary and middle school level, one in ten of the Taiwanese students' parents come from ASEAN countries. Thus, establishing a cooperative internship program with ASEAN countries mutually beneficial partnership opportunity for all those involved.

The SEC, NTNU endeavors to provide this internship program for recruiting the candidates whose research topics are related to science education in ASEAN countries. This internship program includes following events:

1. Engaging in ASEAN Science and STEM education research projects. The candidates will have the chances to develop their research/study and be supervised by our international team members. The current project members include the Science Education Center of NTNU, Kasetsart University (Thailand), Hanoi National Normal University (Vietnam), and University of Jember (Indonesia).
2. Classroom observation and filed work in local classrooms in Taiwan. Our program will offer the opportunities for qualified candidates to enter the Taiwanese science/ technology classrooms and receive guidance from Taiwan school teachers and faculties in NTNU.
3. Chinese language learning. The candidates can obtain the Chinese learning training in the world famous Mandarin Training Center at NTNU at their own expenses.

5. Each qualified candidates need to submit an academic research essay to SEC, NTNU, in the end of this internship program.
