Our group is looking for one or two intern student(s), at either the undergraduate or the graduate level, to participate in our on going and (or) planned projects. The duration can be from 3 months to 6 months. One of the intern students will learn and use certain techniques of Machine Learning, particularly the supervised and unsupervised Neural Networks, to investigate some problems in physics, biophysics, and (or) social science. The other will study and employ novel numerical methods, such as the tensor network and the (quantum) Monte Carlo, to explore exotic properties and phases of models relevant to the experimental results. Programming skill in Fortran, C, C++, and python is required. Being familiar with the numerical techniques mentioned above may be essential as well.
