Context: Information Optics and Photonics Laboratory (IOP) welcomes interested students in doing an Internship. Currently, IOP Lab has 3 PhD and 1 master students from Asian countries. The goal of the proposed internship is not just to learn about modern optics, holography (digital and computer-generated holography), machine & deep learning, and its applications rather to be better at whatever you do. Our aim is to help you reach your potentials while having fun and seek higher studies in Taiwan.

Subject: The selected students will undergo (4 to 6) months of internship training in IOP lab. Everything here is handed on, so the intern gets a real opportunity to learn and improve their experimental skills in optics and modern holography. Interns get to work in the IOP lab as we are working on optical design, 3D sensing and imaging, computer-generated holography, digital holography, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and related applications in scientific and industrial fields.

Eligibility: Students are pursuing Bachelor/Master/Doctoral studies with any specialization in Optics, Electronics, Electrical, Physics, Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE) or any other related fields. Graduated students also can apply.

Required skills: Applicants should have basic knowledges in Physics, Optics, Image Processing, Computer etc. Instruction: Interested students should send a copy of passport, resume (CV), transcript, publication (if any) and a recommendation letter (from adviser or faculty is preferable) to Prof. Chau-Jern Cheng (cjcheng@ntnu.edu.tw).
